“To best serve Chicago’s taxpayers, it is important that our office not only provide transparent reporting on our investment portfolio but also offer analysis on current trends that can impact future investment decisions,” Treasurer Summers said. “We look forward to sharing our current market insights with Chicagoans on this Quarterly Earnings Call.”

CIO Porter added, “I’ve spent my career in the private sector, focused on credit analysis and portfolio management. It’s exciting to have the opportunity to discuss investment challenges and opportunities in the next year with taxpayers, ratings agencies, and investors—and to work with our team to leverage those insights in pursuit of our objective to best serve residents in Chicago’s 77 neighborhoods.”

Treasurer Summers created the Quarterly Earnings Calls during the start of his tenure as an opportunity to increase financial transparency and accountability to Chicagoans. In addition to sharing the investment portfolio performance for the City of Chicago, the call will provide an overview of the national and local economies.
