City Treasurer Launches Text Help Line For Teens

The best way to reach teenagers is on their cellphones. So it makes sense to use texting in a new campaign aimed at answering young people’s questions about banking, saving, loans and credit.

“It’s just one more way we can spread the message about financial literacy,” said City Treasurer Stephanie Neely. “We want to give these young people the tools they need to take control of their financial futures.” The cards look like business cards and are being handed out to area teens.
